Digital Scrapbooking
As salaam alaykum,
I am so excited to see this section (digital scrapbooking) because for the past few weeks I have been searching for all things digital scrapbooking. Still haven't taken the plunge to make anything yet, but my bud Umm Abdul Basir and I have been downloading free scrapbooking kits. They seem so fun! I just wanted to share a few places that I have found some REALLY pretty kits and resources for digital scrapbooking:
Shabby Princess: http://www.shabbyprincess.com
Click on her download section (from top) and you can download load some of the most beautiful sets that I have seen so far, masha Allah.
Another one of my favorites:
http://www.freedigitalscrapbooking.com/digital_scrapbooking_papers.html
This page leads to free papers, but they have alphabets and embellishments there are well.
Scrapbooking.about.com. http://scrapbooking.about.com/od/freedigitaldownloads/Digital_Scrapbooking_Free_Downloads.htm
Here they have a listing of maybe a dozen or more sites with freebie scrapbooking kits.
Scrapbook Flair.
Has digital scrapbooking software, "paper," embellishments, design templates
www.scrapbookflair.com/download.aspx
http://digitalscrapbooking101.ning.com/
A digital scrapbooking community
My daughter is interested in becoming a graphic designer (she's 14) so I had started searching the web looking for online graphics design courses and tutorials as this is so not my area. I stumbled upon the digital scrapbooking and was hooked (on the idea). As I said, I have yet to actually make something, but am hoping I will give it a try soon, insha Allah.
Look forward to seeing your future works and hope one day, insha Allah, I'll have something to share with you all.

Re: Scrapbooking
for the links Umm Ibrahim. Perhaps you should let your daughter join the garden. I'm sure she'll fit right in. We have other youngsters here, Nadia, Looli and Poppy mashaAllah.

Re: Scrapbooking
As Salamu Alaikum
sister for the Links.
I love scrapbooking too, but did not have any good elements to work with. Now I am more at home with Photoshop using their brushes and shapes and some images.
Masha Allah Umm Talal is doing good work with them.
I will definitely have a look at these links. Bookmarking them for now.
I wish I had more time to browse and search for freebies. Masha Allah there is so much available online.
It will be great if your daughter joined the Garden too. Like sister Mabsoota mentioned we have some young members. Since she is interested in Graphic designing the Garden is a good place to learn and we can share and learn from each other.

I look forward to seeing your work soon and sister Umm Abdul Basir's too
